The first meeting of the lighting committee of RAEC

On September 14th and 15th in Moscow there was an important event for the industry — the Russian Association of Eelectrotechnical companies held the first Lighting Committee.

The Committee session was attended by the commercial Directors and the heads of lighting Departments from each company-member of RAEC.

Within the Committee a meeting with the largest manufacturers (Lighting technologies, BL group, Varton, etc.) and importers of lighting equipment (JazzWay, ERA, IEK, ASD, etc.) in Russia was held.

The members of the Committee exchanged their views on the further development of the lighting market, changes in commercial policies of Producers, discussed the promising products.

Senior managers and profile managers held a meeting with the Executive Director of ‘Honest position’ Sergey Gvozdev-Karelin, where they discussed the Compliance in lighting technology project. There were a lot of questions on quality control of lamps and on the dishonesty of the Producers. RAEC reaffirmed the support for the projects of ‘Honest position’.

The Committee adopted the following decisions

• the addition of two new producers of design lighting to RAEC matrix
• defined priorities for the 2017–2018 season
• the acception of marketing proposal for the Association for the season

The format of the meeting was pleasant to all participants, and RAEC is going to hold regular Committees on key product areas in future.
